Fiberlogix, a UK based manufacturer of specialty fibers will be showcasing its enhanced photosensitive fiber with special acrylate coating at ECOC-04, which is specific designed to offer a very cost competitive solution to the fiber sensors and telecom market.
The product line launched is designed for telecom and fiber sensor markets, exhibit a high photosensitivity with special transparent coating for longer wavelength FBG writing. The company uses its proprietary manufacturing process and the state of art ISO-9001 production facility, to offer cladding diameters from 80um to 200um for sensors applications. Due to its superior core/cladding concentricity it allows a high lot-to-lot uniformity and very low insertion loss with standard telecom fiber.
